This policy covers tintstarzchicago.com, the quote forms on it, and the calls and texts that start from it. “We” means Tint Starz LLC, the window tint shop at 837 Oakton St Unit C, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007.

The company named in the footer of every page runs this website, its tags and our customer messaging system as a service provider to the shop. It sees form entries and text history only to run them for the shop, and never uses them for its own marketing.

What does this site collect?

What you type into a quote form:

• Your name and phone number.
• Your vehicle: year, make and model.
• The service you want, the film you pick for window tint, your preferred day and any message you add.
• Your email address, only if you add it on the page you see after sending a request, so we can send your price by email too.
• Photos, if you choose to send them for custom work such as a wrap or paint protection film.
• Your answers to the two text message consent boxes, which version of their wording you saw, and the time you sent the form.

What the site adds to the form on its own:

• How you arrived: the source, medium, campaign, ad and keyword tags on the link you followed, and the click ID an ad platform adds to its links.
• The first page you landed on and the site that sent you.
• A referral tag, if you came through a team member’s link.
• The shade you picked, if you came from the shade picker.

What happens while you browse:

• Google Analytics and Google Ads tags, loaded through Google Tag Manager, record the pages you view, when you start or send a form and when you tap to call, with device and browser details and an approximate location that Google works out from your IP address. Meta’s pixel, which this site loads itself, sends Meta the pages you view and when you send a request, with device and browser details and your IP address, and sets its own cookie, so the shop can measure its Facebook and Instagram ads.
• Our web host, Cloudflare, receives each page request, including your IP address, to deliver the site.

Why do we collect it?

• To text you a price and book your appointment.
• To text you after your job and ask for a review.
• To learn which ads, searches and links bring customers in, so the shop spends its ad budget on what works.
• To credit a team member when a customer arrives through their link.
• To see which pages people use and fix what does not work.

Who receives it?

• Tint Starz: Javi and Tony.
• The specialist in the building who does the work you asked for, as a service provider to the shop. Detailing is done by Lando, our detailing lead, who runs his own detailing business at Tint Starz, and wraps, paint protection film and chrome delete by Wrapology, a separate business working at Tint Starz. Each receives only what your job needs, on the shop’s behalf, and never uses it for its own marketing.
• The company that runs this site for the shop, named in the footer, as a service provider. It receives only what running the site, its tags and the messaging system needs, on the shop’s behalf, and never uses it for its own marketing.
• Our customer messaging system, GoHighLevel. Forms post straight to it. It stores form entries, photos, text threads, call logs and call recordings, and it sends our texts.
• Google, which receives the analytics and ad measurement data described above. For a call to a Google forwarding number, Google also logs the call’s time, its length and the caller’s area code.
• Cloudflare, which hosts the site. Cloudflare Turnstile checks in the background that a form is sent by a person and not a bot, and Cloudflare handles that check under its Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
• The public vehicle database run by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Pages with the full quote form ask it for the list of makes when they load, and for the matching models when you pick a year and make. Those requests carry your IP address, the year and the make, not your name or phone.

The tag container holds Google Analytics and Google Ads: conversion tracking, remarketing and the conversion linker. The Meta pixel is loaded by the site itself, not by the tag container.

When a booked job started from a Google ad click, the shop may report the click ID, the booking and its value to Google Ads and Google Analytics.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

What cookies does the site use?

One first-party cookie, set by this site, remembers how you first arrived: the link tags, the click ID, the landing page, the referring site, a referral tag and a picked shade. It lasts 90 days; a new ad click updates it with that click’s details and restarts the 90 days. Its only job is to fill in the hidden fields when you send a form.

Google’s tags set their own cookies to count visits and measure ads.

Tint Starz may show its ads to people who have visited this site. Third-party vendors, including Google, show those ads on sites across the internet, and they use cookies to serve ads based on your past visits to this site.

The forms still work without cookies; the site may then be unable to tell us how you found it.

How do calls, texts and deposits work?

Calls and texts to the number on this site go through our customer messaging system, which keeps a log of each call and the text thread. Calls to and from our number, (224) 222-0778, are recorded for quality and training, and every call starts with a recorded notice saying so. If you reached the site from a Google ad, the number shown may be a Google forwarding number that rings the same shop, so Google can count the call for that ad.

Every quote form on this site has two text message boxes, and both start unchecked. The first agrees to non-marketing texts from Tint Starz LLC: your price quote, appointment scheduling and reminders, and customer care. The second agrees to marketing texts: special offers, discounts, service updates and review requests. Neither box is required: the form works with neither checked, and the shop then calls you with your price instead of texting it. The full program is on the SMS terms page.

The $50 deposit is paid through a link in the price text and handled by the shop’s payment processor. This website never asks for card details.

How long do we keep it, and how is it protected?

We keep records of work, form entries and text threads for 3 years after your last job, and call recordings for 12 months.

If you get film under the Illinois medical exemption, the law requires the installer to keep a copy of your physician’s certified statement in its permanent records.

The site is served over HTTPS only. No system is perfectly secure, so send only what a quote needs.

What are your choices?

• Texts: reply STOP to any text from us.
• Your information: to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email [email protected] or call or text the shop. Some records may need to stay, such as invoices and the medical exemption copy above.
• Cookies: block or clear them in your browser.
• Google: you can limit personalized ads in Google’s ad settings, and Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics.
• Other ad companies: the Network Advertising Initiative’s opt-out page lets you opt out of interest-based ads from its member companies.

Illinois residents

Tint Starz is an Illinois business serving Illinois drivers, and the choices above are open to every visitor. This site does not collect fingerprints, face scans or other biometric identifiers. It is meant for vehicle owners and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date at the top.
