What is the Tint Starz text program?

The program name is Tint Starz. The texts come from Tint Starz LLC, the window tint shop at 837 Oakton St Unit C, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007, and are sent from the shop number shown on this site, (224) 222-0778. They cover your price quote, your appointment, customer care and, if you agree to them, offers and review requests. Texts may be in English or Spanish.

How do you opt in?

Every quote form on this site has two text message boxes. Both start unchecked, and each is optional: you can check one, both or neither, and the form still sends your request. With neither box checked, the shop calls you with your price instead of texting it.

The first box covers non-marketing texts. It reads:

“I consent to receive non-marketing text messages from Tint Starz LLC about my price quote, appointment scheduling and reminders, and customer care. Message frequency may vary. Message & data rates may apply. Text HELP for assistance, reply STOP to opt out.”

The second box covers marketing texts. It reads:

“I consent to receive marketing text messages from Tint Starz LLC about special offers, discounts, service updates and review requests. Message frequency may vary. Message & data rates may apply. Text HELP for assistance, reply STOP to opt out.”

If you call or text the shop number first, we may reply to you by text about what you asked.

What texts will you get?

With the first box checked, non-marketing texts:

• An automatic text confirming we got your request.
• Your price, within minutes during shop hours, with a link to pay the $50 deposit that books your slot.
• Appointment confirmations and reminders.
• Replies to questions you send us, and a text back if you call and the shop misses it.

With the second box checked, marketing texts:

• Special offers and discounts.
• Service updates.
• About two hours after your job, a text asking for a Google review, and one reminder two days later if you have not left one.

How often will you get texts?

Message frequency varies with your quote, your appointment and your job, and with the offers the shop runs.

Does it cost anything?

Message and data rates may apply.

How do you stop the texts?

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text STOP to (224) 222-0778. After that, you stop getting texts from this program, apart from one text that may confirm the opt-out. To start again, text START to the same number.

How do you get help?

Reply HELP to any text, call or text (224) 222-0778, Monday to Saturday 9 to 6, or email [email protected].

Do you have to agree to texts to buy?

No. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. You can call the shop for a price and a booking instead.

Who sees your mobile number?

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Your number is used to handle your quote, your appointment and your job: by the shop, by the specialist doing the work you asked for, and by the services that send and deliver the texts, our customer messaging system and the mobile carriers. The privacy policy lists everyone who receives what you send through the site, and the terms of service cover quotes and bookings.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
