The warranty at Tint Starz depends on the film: lifetime on S9, 2 years on S5, no warranty on Carbon. It is the shop’s own warranty, written down here. The window tint warranty guide explains what to ask about any warranty.

Which warranty goes with each film?

S9 Highest Performance Ceramic (Rayno Phantom S9) carries a lifetime warranty. S5 Premium Ceramic (Rayno Phantom S5) carries 2 years. Carbon, the entry film, carries no warranty. All three go on inside the shop at 837 Oakton St Unit C in Elk Grove Village, by Javi or Tony.

Cure and care after the install

These are Rayno’s own care instructions for the film. Do not roll the windows down for at least 72 hours. The film takes 30 days to fully dry and cure, and a hazy look during that time is normal: it is the moisture from the install, and it clears as the film dries. Clean the glass without abrasive pads, abrasive cleaners or industrial strength glass cleaners, and do not peel or scrub the edges.

What S5 and S9 are made to do

Both ceramics block 99.9 percent of UV year-round and stay optically clear at night. The main difference between them is infrared rejection: S5 rejects 53 to 72 percent, depending on the shade, and S9 rejects 91 to 93 percent across Rayno’s published shades.
