Terms of Service
Quotes, deposits, appointments and what the shop can install, in plain words.
Last updated: October 25, 2026
These terms cover tintstarzchicago.com and every quote, booking and service you arrange through it with Tint Starz LLC, 837 Oakton St Unit C, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007. By using the site or booking a job, you agree to them.
Who does the work?
Tint Starz is a studio shop, open by appointment Monday to Saturday 9 to 6 and closed Sunday. Window tint is installed by Javi and Tony. Detailing, wraps, paint protection film and chrome delete are sold by Tint Starz and done by the specialists on the team page. These terms apply to all of them.
Window tint, paint protection film and wraps are installed at the shop, never in a driveway. Detailing is done at the shop or, through mobile detailing, in your driveway or parking spot.
Are the prices on this site final?
No. Every price on this site is a starting price. The final price depends on the vehicle, film, coverage, condition and installation difficulty. Send your year, make and model, and the shop calls you back with the exact number within minutes during shop hours. Tint removal is the exception: how much work it takes only shows once removal begins, so the shop sends photos or a video call and confirms any price change before continuing.
A price we give you holds for 30 days. If a price on the site is ever wrong, the price we confirm with you is the one that applies. The window tint prices page and the cost estimator show starting prices, not quotes.
How does the deposit work?
A $50 deposit, paid through a link the shop sends you, books your slot. The deposit comes off your total. You can move your appointment once for free with 24 hours notice. A no-show, or a cancellation inside 24 hours, forfeits the deposit. The balance is paid at pickup.
The deposit is handled by the shop’s payment processor through that link. This website never asks for card details.
Can the shop refuse a tint job?
Yes. Illinois law limits film on the windshield and the front side windows, and subsection (a-10) bars anyone from installing windshield film the law does not allow, so the shop can decline any film, shade or combination that is not legal on your car. The Illinois window tint law page sets out the limits window by window.
Full windshield film is one example. On an Illinois registered car, the law allows nonreflective film on the top 6 inches of the windshield only. Full windshield film is for cars registered in another state or drivers with the medical exemption.
If your car carries the medical exemption, exempt film goes on only when the distinctive plates or plate sticker are already on the car, and the shop keeps a copy of your physician’s certified statement, as the statute requires.
Tell us accurately where your car is registered and whether it carries the medical exemption. The shop relies on what you tell us when it picks what it can install.
Where are the warranty terms?
On the warranty page. The Tint Starz warranty runs by film: lifetime on S9, 2 years on S5, no warranty on Carbon. That page sets out what it covers, what it does not and how to claim.
Is the information on this site legal advice?
No. The Illinois law page and the Illinois tint law checker explain the statute in plain words. They are general information, not legal advice.
The shade picker on the tint shades page simulates each shade on one sedan photo. Film on your own glass can look lighter or darker with the car, the glass and the light.
What is the shop liable for?
The site is offered as it is. We keep prices, hours and details current as best we can, but we do not promise the site is free of errors or always available.
To the extent the law allows, Tint Starz is not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using this site or from a service, and its total liability for a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. This does not limit the warranty or any right the law does not let a business limit.
Privacy
How we handle what you send is in the privacy policy, and the SMS terms cover the shop’s message program.

These terms are governed by Illinois law, and any dispute is heard in Cook County, Illinois.
