What window tint is legal on an Itasca car?
The same window tint that is legal anywhere else in Illinois, because one state statute, 625 ILCS 5/12-503, sets the limits for every Illinois registered car. On the front side windows, the rear sets the limit: the film or factory tint behind the driver decides how dark the fronts can go.

If the rear film runs from 30 percent up to just under 35, or the rear glass is factory tinted, the front sides must be 50 percent or lighter. With aftermarket rear film darker than 30 percent, the front side windows take no film unless the car carries the medical exemption.
